Friendship Bracelets

I think everyone remembers making friendship bracelets as a kid. I know I use to make them, but I don't remember finishing a lot of them. Anyways, one of my friends, got me thinking about them and so when I was at target I found this friendship bracelet craft kit in the kids section and thought, I should try making some of these again. It gives you a variety of bracelet designs you can make and some of them don't look too hard. I would like to give this again, plus I know I have some extra colored floss laying around I know I could use up. This is not the exact kit I got, but it is very similar, I believe this one you can get at walmart,

Punch Needle

So I came across this craft a while back. I bought a kit at Michaels, and thought it was the coolest thing. What you do is you punch the little pattern, with this special tool that you put some colored floss in and when you do that it creates this cool 3D effect. I remember I gave it a shot but didn't quite understand it. So I would like to go and revisit that craft and give it another shot.
Of course I was also thinking I could create my own pattern/character to punch needle once I got the hang of it. The picture above is the pattern I bought, I thought it looked cute, and I have been seeing online that people frame them and hang on the wall.

Paint and Peel

So I am finally caught up with my posts. I didn't get a chance to post Thursday or Friday, so I knew today I would post 3 crafts to get caught up. So this craft Paint and Peel is similar to gallery glass, but this is actually a craft for kids. I found it at target and thought I wonder how this compares to gallery glass. I liked the fun colors you get and also the fine points on the paint bottles. Since this kit came with more vibrant colors than the small gallery glass paint I got, I wanted to try to make my own window cling of my website to put on the back of my car window. I just started selling a line of rubber stamps called "Vintage Cute" on Etsy, www.2cuterubberstamps.etsy.com. I also have a blog, www.2cuterubberstamps.weebly.com. I thought this would be a good way to advertise my rubber stamps, and also have some fun! This is one of the crafts that I am going to try first because I want to put it on my car as soon as possible.

Fuseworks Glass Kiln

Another great craft I have but haven't tried yet is my Fuseworks Glass Kiln. I bought this at Hobby Lobby this time and used my 40% coupon, ( all those coupons come in handy). I have always wanted to make fused glass pendants ever since I went to a craft fair and saw a lady selling her fused glassed pendants she created. I was kinda bummed when I found out she used a huge kiln , for I knew I didn't have that kind of money to spend. So finding out that I could buy a small microwave kiln to fuse glass in was fantastic. I really can't wait to make my first glass pendant and make it into a necklace. There are so many crafts I want to try my list keeps going on and on and on.

Gallery Glass

Another craft I bought a while back and never tried is gallery glass. I bought it at Michael's with one of their 40% coupons so I got a small pack of the special paint pretty cheap. I thought it was cool you could make your own window clings. I think it would be fun to make window clings for all the holidays so you can put on your windows and even you mirrors in your bedroom or bathroom. I didn't buy any books or patterns, I planned on designing my own cute characters.

Marble Magnets

I know everyone has seen these before but I really liked the instructions and images used on these marble magnets. Here is the link http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/marblemagnets/ Also I thought it was a great idea to store them in an altoids container. I really have never tired this craft before, but it has been on my to do list for a while. That is one good thing about this blog, it will help me realize all the crafts I want to try and make me start crafting!

Bendaroos!

Well I saw Bendaroos on the Bonnie Hunt show a few weeks back and thought they looked pretty cool! So of course when I was a Walmart I picked a box up. They are flexible building sticks that are made of wax and a super strong string. You can create tons of little cute sculptures and I thought since I do like working with clay and making characters that this would be something fun to try. I was reading that you can also take your creations apart, plus they can stick to walls and windows hmmm, I wonder what all you can do with these. I can't wait to give this craft a try and see what I can come up with. If anyone has used these before or is going to try them, I would love to see your creations!
